Let’s Grab Coffee and Listen, Learn and Be Inspired!
#CoffeeWithConvery Podcast Hits 30 Episodes!
Students and young professionals are facing barriers, uncertainty, biases, changing priorities and now a pandemic as they navigate the school to work transition. Their collective stories have inspired me and now I want to share these stories with you. Listen, Learn and Be Inspired.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, I finally took the time to look at one of my passion projects which was to launch a “for the students by the students” podcast to provide relevant content and meaningful insights to prepare the next generation of talent for the future of work.
In March, #CoffeeWithConvery went live for Work-Integrated-Learning and Co-op Month across Canada and we just hit the 30 episode mark this week with the Throwback Thursday: Helping others, family and being you with Brandon Greenspoon.
From “Throwback Thursday” a series that promotes a look back to students and young talent that I met years ago and to see where they are now to “Sports Talk” where the student guests share how being an athlete has helped them to propel their skill building, their mindsets and their futures along with how being an athlete sometimes created hurdles and barriers to the workplace — there is something for every student to learn whether in high school, college, university or starting that first internship.
Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DI&B) is also celebrated in this special student podcast. In March, we celebrated #InternationalWomensDay by inviting 5 young women to tell there stories and what this day represented to each of them. Listen. Learn and Be Inspired.
What’s next for #CoffeeWithConvery?
More stories, more journeys, more insights more knowledge sharing including a brand new series called “Table Talk” which is taking a slightly different twist to the #CoffeeWithConvery podcast with my invited guests taking on and participating in a group coffee chat on a particular topic of interest. Think “The View” (without all the drama) and students leading meaningful conversations over coffee (or tea) at your local coffee shop.
As long as there are inspiring stories to tell and as long as there are students who will listen- #CoffeeWithConvery will continue. It is just beginning and I am excited to see where this passion project will led to as we all prepare for the future of work together.
Listen, Learn and Be Inspired.
